The Peacock July 2021 schedule also includes daily series Brother From Another, Zerlina., and The Medhi Hasan Show. Executive Producers for RTÉ are Shane Murphy and David Crean. The series is produced by Rob Walpole and Rebecca O’Flanagan from Treasure with Executive Producers Tom Sherry and Michael Parke from BBC Studios and lead writer, Kate O’Riordan. Smother was created by Kate O’ Riordan and developed by BBC Studios Drama in partnership with Dublin-based Treasure Entertainment, and commissioned by RTÉ. The deeper Val delves into her family’s secrets the more she realizes how her late husband’s controlling, manipulative behavior had a deep effect on each member of the family. Val explores Denis’s relationships with his family in order to find out who might have been responsible for his brutal, shocking death. In Smother, when Val Ahern’s (Dervla Kirwan) husband Denis (Stuart Graham) is found dead at a foot of a cliff the morning after a family party, Val begins to interrogate the events that unfolded the night before. All six one-hour episodes of the series will drop at once on July 1. It explores deeply buried secrets and their unintended consequence.
Smother is a thriller drama series set in a small town on the wild and rugged coast of Clare, Ireland. Men’s Basketball Team’s pursuit of their fourth-straight gold medal. On July 15th, Peacock will launch its Tokyo Olympics destination, which will feature live coverage of some the Games’ biggest events, including Gymnastics, Track & Field, and the U.S.
